How Learning Is Assigned
Protoqual delivers learning through missions, where activities are assigned automatically based on how your organization has configured learning.
This ensures that learning remains relevant, consistent, and easy to manage.
Why You May See Different Activities
Learners within the same organization may sometimes receive different activities at different times.
This can happen because learning may be tailored based on:
- Activities already completed
- Topics previously assigned
- Opportunities to reinforce key concepts
This approach helps avoid repetition while ensuring important topics are covered.
Two Ways Learning Can Be Delivered
Protoqual supports two approaches to delivering learning.
Adaptive Learning (Protoqual Default)
Most organizations use Protoqual’s adaptive learning approach.
In this model:
- Activities are selected based on each learner’s progress
- Topics may be reassigned to reinforce important concepts
- Learners may receive different activities over time
This approach keeps learning personalized and relevant without requiring manual setup.
Structured Learning (Custom Curriculum)
Some organizations prefer a more consistent learning experience across teams.
In this model:
- Activities follow a planned sequence
- Learners may receive the same content at the same time
- Learning paths can be tailored by role or onboarding needs
For example:
- Providers may receive communication-focused activities
- Staff may receive service and coordination topics
Why Activities May Be Reassigned
If an activity is not completed during a mission, it may be reassigned in a future mission.
This ensures that important topics are not missed, even if a learner was unable to complete them earlier.
Reassignment may also occur to reinforce key concepts that are important to revisit.
How to Choose the Right Approach
Both approaches are designed to support effective learning.
Organizations can choose based on their goals:
- Use adaptive learning for a more personalized, low-maintenance experience
- Use a custom curriculum for a more structured, team-wide approach
If you’re unsure which approach is best, the Protoqual team can help guide you.
Requesting a Custom Curriculum
If your organization would like to set up a structured learning path, Protoqual can configure a custom curriculum.
To request this:
- Open the help widget (Beacon) in Protoqual
- Send a message to the Protoqual team
We will work with you to design a curriculum that aligns with your organization’s goals.
What You Need to Do
No action is required to manage assignments day to day.
Simply:
- Open your mission
- Complete your assigned activities
Learning is automatically delivered based on your organization’s setup.
