How Learning Works in Protoqual
Protoqual delivers short learning moments designed to strengthen patient experience skills without disrupting busy healthcare schedules.
Learning is organized into structured programs called missions, and each mission contains short learning activities assigned over time.
This approach allows teams to build skills gradually through consistent, manageable learning rather than long training sessions.
What Is a Mission?
A mission is a structured learning program that runs over a defined period.
Missions organize learning into a sequence of short activities delivered over time, helping teams strengthen skills through consistent participation.
What Is an Activity?
Learning in Protoqual is delivered through short learning moments called activities.
An activity typically includes:
- A short video
- A quiz to reinforce key ideas
- A study guide with helpful takeaways
Most activities take less than five minutes to complete.
Once the quiz is passed, the activity is marked as completed.
When Missions Start
Protoqual missions typically begin on the first Monday of each quarter.
Some organizations may include planned breaks (for example, during holidays) when no new activities are assigned.
Activity Timing
Most missions include about one short activity per week.
Activities can usually be completed any time during the week, allowing flexibility for busy healthcare schedules.
If an activity is not completed during the week it is assigned, it may appear as overdue, but it can still be completed later in the mission.
Learning Must Be Enabled
To receive learning assignments, learning must be enabled on the user’s profile.
This setting is typically configured during system setup but can be adjusted by administrators at any time.
If learning is not enabled for a user, they will not receive assigned activities.
