Understanding Inactive Learners
A learner is considered inactive when they have five or more consecutive overdue assignments.
Inactive learners are typically people who have stopped participating in learning activities for an extended period.
Why Inactive Learners Matter
Inactive learners can affect the practice mission score, since engagement is calculated across all active learners in the practice.
If someone remains listed in the practice but is no longer participating in learning, their inactivity may lower the overall engagement score.
Where to View Inactive Learners
Practice managers can review inactive learners from the Inactive Learners section on the My Practice page.
This section helps managers quickly identify team members who have not been participating in recent learning activities.
What Managers Can Do
Once inactive learners are identified, managers can decide the best next step.
Possible actions include:
- Reminding the learner to resume activities
- Checking whether learning should still be enabled for that user
- Removing the learner from the practice if they are no longer part of the organization
Keeping the learner roster up to date helps ensure the practice mission score accurately reflects the participation of the active team.
