How Practice Mission Scores Are Calculated

Practice mission scores reflect how consistently learners within a practice complete their assigned learning activities during a mission.

The score provides a quick view of overall engagement across the team.

Individual Scores Contribute to the Practice Score

Each learner receives an individual mission score based on how consistently they complete assigned activities.

Individual scores range from 0 to 5, where:

Score Meaning
5 Fully engaged
4 Strong engagement
3 Moderate engagement
2 Low engagement
1 Minimal engagement
0 No recent activity

The practice mission score reflects the combined engagement level of all active learners within the practice.

When most learners complete their activities consistently, the practice score remains high.

What Can Lower a Practice Mission Score

Several factors can affect a practice’s mission score.

Missed Activities

If learners do not complete assigned activities, their individual scores decrease, which can lower the overall practice score.

Inactive Learners

Learners who have five or more consecutive overdue assignments are considered inactive.

Inactive learners may impact the practice score until they return to participation or their account is removed from the practice.

How Practice Managers Can Improve the Score

Practice managers can support engagement by:

  • Encouraging staff to complete weekly activities
  • Reviewing inactive learners periodically
  • Removing accounts for staff who are no longer part of the practice
  • Recognizing learners who maintain strong participation

Even small improvements in participation across the team can have a meaningful impact on the practice mission score.

When Practice Scores Update

Practice mission scores update throughout the mission as learners complete activities.

At the end of the mission, scores are finalized and recorded as part of the mission history.
