What Is a Mission?
A mission is a structured learning period in Protoqual that delivers short activities on a consistent schedule.
Missions create a weekly rhythm, making it easier to build skills without disrupting busy healthcare schedules.
Each mission includes a sequence of short activities—typically one per week—that are designed to be completed in just a few minutes and build on each other.
How Missions Are Structured
Missions run on a defined schedule and typically begin on the first Monday of each quarter.
For example:
- January → New mission begins
- April → New mission begins
- July → New mission begins
- October → New mission begins
Some organizations may include planned breaks (such as holidays), during which no new activities are assigned.
Once a mission begins, new activities are released each week, allowing you to complete them at your own pace during the mission.
Completing Activities and Earning Progress
Activities can be completed any time after they are assigned and while the mission is still active.
If an activity is not completed during the week it is assigned, it becomes overdue, but it can still be completed later in the mission.
Each completed activity earns a credit, which contributes to your progress and certificate milestones.
As you complete activities, your progress is also reflected in your mission score, which shows how up to date you are with your assigned learning.
- Completing activities keeps your score high and shows you are on track
- Overdue activities may lower your score
- Completing overdue activities during the mission can restore your score
In simple terms, your mission score shows whether you are keeping up or need to catch up.

After a Mission Ends
When a mission ends, your progress for that mission is finalized and recorded.
- Your mission score is locked
- Credits earned during the mission are recorded
- Results become part of your learning history
You may still be able to view and access past activities after the mission ends.
You can also complete them for your own learning, but:
- They do not earn credit
- They do not change your recorded progress or score
If an activity was not completed during a mission, it may be reassigned in a future mission. When that happens, you can complete it and earn credit at that time.
Starting a New Mission
When a new mission begins:
- A new set of activities is assigned
- Your mission score resets for the new cycle
- Learning continues with new or reassigned topics
What You Need to Do
To stay on track:
- Complete your assigned activity each week
- Check your dashboard regularly
- Catch up on any overdue activities before the mission ends
