Using QR Codes for Surveys
Protoqual allows surveys to be shared using QR codes or direct survey links.
Patients can scan the QR code with their phone or open the link to complete the survey.
When QR Codes Work Best
QR codes are commonly used in locations where patients can easily access the survey themselves, such as:
- Checkout desks
- Waiting rooms
- Printed cards or posters
- After-visit paperwork
How QR Surveys Are Tracked
Protoqual tracks when a survey is:
- Opened
- Completed
However, QR codes do not track how many times the code was displayed or offered to patients.
Because of this, response rates for QR surveys may appear different from surveys sent by email or SMS.
Tips for QR Surveys
To encourage responses:
- Place QR codes where patients naturally pause during their visit
- Include a short explanation of why feedback is important
- Ensure the QR code is easy to scan
