Can’t Find a Provider on Healthgrades? Here’s What to Do
If you’re trying to add a Healthgrades link in Protoqual but can’t find the provider, don’t worry—this is a common situation.
In many cases, the provider already has a profile on Healthgrades, but it just needs to be found and claimed. If it’s not showing up right away, there are a couple of next steps to try.
Step 1: Search and Claim the Profile
Start here:
https://update.healthgrades.com/landing/claim
- Search for the provider by name and location
- If the profile appears, select it and follow the prompts to claim and verify it
- You may be asked to confirm provider details during this step
Tip:
Healthgrades often creates profiles automatically using public data (like NPI), so many providers already exist—it just may take a different search to find them.
Step 2: If You Don’t See the Profile
If the provider doesn’t appear in the initial search, look for these options on the page:
- “Try our NPI-based search” → This can help locate profiles that don’t show up by name
- “Contact us” → Use this option to request help or have Healthgrades create the profile
Step 3: Add It to Protoqual
Once the profile is found or created, you have two options:
- Add it yourself → Follow our guide on how to add a Healthgrades link to a provider in Protoqual
- Send it to us → We’re happy to add it for you
