Setting Up Patient Review Invitations
Protoqual can invite satisfied patients to leave a public review on Healthgrades after completing a survey.
To enable this, each provider must have their Healthgrades profile connected in Protoqual.
Step 1: Add the Healthgrades Profile Link
A Healthgrades profile extension must be added to the provider’s profile.
This can be done by either a practice administrator or the provider.
Practice Administrators
- Go to My Practice
- Open the provider’s profile
- Add the Healthgrades profile extension
Providers
- Go to Account Details
- Add your Healthgrades profile extension
Step 2: Enter the Correct Link Format
Only enter the profile extension, not the full URL.
Example
Instead of:
https://www.healthgrades.com/physician/dr-jane-smith-abc123
Enter:
physician/dr-jane-smith-abc123
Protoqual automatically applies the full Healthgrades URL.
Step 3: Confirm the Provider Has a Healthgrades Profile
A provider must have a Healthgrades profile to receive review invitations.
Check for an existing profile:
-
Search for the provider on Healthgrades:
- If a profile exists:
- Copy the profile extension from the URL
- Add it to the provider’s Protoqual profile
If the Provider Does Not Have a Profile
Most providers already have a Healthgrades page—even if it hasn’t been claimed.
If no profile is found:
- The provider may need to claim or create their profile on Healthgrades
- Once created, return to Protoqual and add the profile extension
